Editorial Policy

Our Commitment to You Give Me Hockey has covered field hockey since 2011. We focus on the sport’s off-field realities: governance, player welfare, selection politics, and the institutional decisions that shape Indian and international hockey. We aim to say things others won’t, backed by what we know and what we can verify.

News vs. Opinion We clearly separate news reporting from opinion and editorial content. News pieces stick to what happened and what is known. Opinion pieces carry a byline and reflect the views of the writer, not the site as a whole. If something is analysis or commentary, we say so.

Sources and Attribution We follow official communications from FIH, Hockey India, and national federations, as well as trusted journalists and eyewitness accounts. When we use information from another outlet, we credit them and link to the original. We do not republish content and pass it off as our own.

Corrections We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we correct it promptly, clearly, and without burying it. If you spot an error, use our Contact page to flag it.

Sponsored and Paid Content We do not currently carry sponsored content. If that changes, it will be labelled clearly and kept separate from editorial.

Comments and Interaction Reader comments reflect individual views, not GMH’s. We encourage honest debate and remove comments that are abusive, defamatory, or off-topic.

Independence Give Me Hockey has no affiliation with any federation, board, or governing body. Our coverage is independent.
