i guess so….. All the foreign coaches (Australia, Canada, England….etc) have right to select players….can't understand why its not happening in INDIA……. May be its INDIA thats why…..

Chief selectors does not have any say in the team selection, but now they don't want him to have the right of selecting the starting 11 and positions in which the team is going to play. The chief coach is not hired to teach the players how to hold the stick, chief coach has the job of being a tactician, who knows the game. He should even have a hand in selection of the team, but instead of that you are taking his powers. If HI wants to strip the coaches of these powers also, then better sack the coach and keep a puppet in his place. We have seen these things happening when Jyothikumaran had his say during Sydney Olympics. Dhanraj Pillay did not even play, if same things are going to happen again then whats the point in diluting IHF and forming HI, let the dictatorship of KPS Gill continue.

What's the problem in this ? Obviously this must have been done because obviously the chief coach did not consult the other coaches and took one sided decisions. I feel Hockey India selectors have done the correct thing.
