Eight games — just eight — stand between India and the FIH Pro League crown. Currently third in the table, the Indian men’s hockey team has a real chance to win the title and secure direct qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
To prepare for the final leg of the tournament, the team will first travel to Ireland. There, they’ll play three practice matches. In Ireland, India will play one game against Ireland developmental squad and two against senior team. From Ireland, India will travel to Amsterdam and them Antwerp in Belgium for their Pro League matches.

FIH Pro League 2024–25: Fixtures and Opponents
In the European leg, India’s first four games will be against 2026 World Cup hosts Netherlands and world number 8 Argentina. These matches will be held in Amsterdam.
From Netherlands, India will travel to Belgium to play their final four games. In Belgium, India will face Australia and hosts Belgium. India’s schedule for European Leg of FIH Pro League is as follows:

Current Standings in the FIH Pro League
As things stand right now, India is third in the FIH Pro League table. They are just one point behind leaders England. Currently, both England and Belgium are on 16 points with four wins each, however England tops the table thanks to a better goal difference.
What the Team Thinks
Indian vice-captain Hardik Singh believes the team is ready for the challenge. In a statement to Hockey India, he said:
“We have spoken about this within the squad and believe that if we stick to the plan, accumulate enough points, and push for wins, even securing points from draws and subsequent shootouts. We stand a great chance of qualifying for the World Cup through the Pro League.”
