Indian women’s team have a tough task on their hand when they open their campaign in the World Cup. The team has gone through many problems in the last one month. The scandal involving the head coach M K Kaushik and injury to Mamta Kharab has been the biggest problem the team has faced till now.
But if we look at the fixtures of the World Cup, Indian team will certainly have a headache. Indian team will start their campaign on 30th August when the face Netherlands. Also teams featuring in the group are Germany, Australia, Japan and New Zealand.

1st September- India vs Australia
3rd September- India vs Germany
5th September- India vs Japan
7th Septemper- India vs New Zealand
Looking at the fixtures, Indian team have a very tough task, if they want to qualify for the semi-finals. All the best teams are in one group and Surinder Kaur and her team will have to play exceptionally well if they want to win a medal.
Looking at the scenario, it will be great if we finish 5th or 6th. So, tune in to you TV sets or computer screen( i don’t know about the telecast) and cheer the girls….
