Do you know the amount of sponsorship money SAHARA is giving to cricket its 69.3 million $, and do you know the amount of sponsorship given to hockey its 3.3 million $ (that is not an exact figure, for hockey of course). And the salary as i have been talking before Rs 25oo per month compared to lacs of Rs for a single game for cricket. How many corporates are sponsoring hockey team, u can count on hands, SAIL, SAHARA, a Cement Company, Hero Honda. No sports brand is sponsoring the team. Its time that we need some people who can sponsor the team. It is a great joke that the national players drawing Rs 25000 per month. If any one can get some sponsors, I’ll be thankful to them, so please get something and help the national game improve.

another fact hockey players got just a meager Rs.100 as daily allowance during Athens Olympics, how can one survive with Rs. 100 in greece, when we spend Rs. 200 for a 2-3 hr movie
Looks like being a hockey player is a crime in our country. 25K p.m. to the players??? HI is certainly making mockery of all the players…And why our players have to go for strike to get their salary???The pool of hockey fans has to get much bigger to save Indian Hockey coz the officials are not going to do of their own… Our national game is fighting for its survival right now. Sad and disappointing.
well its true actually the hockey players are the real national hero who play for the country not for the money. from where we can get sponsor and how as the hockey matches are not famous in our country ……can we all think how to make hockey a famous game. i think a good marketing should be required…sab cricket k peeche pagal hai..
